Frequently Asked Questions
Using a financial planner allows you to partner with a professional that can give clarity to an ever-changing financial world, and help you avoid the all too common pitfalls of failing to diversity adequately, investing without a plan, making emotional decisions, and failing to review your existing portfolio. At Jacob Young Financial, my team and I will bring your financial pieces together and create a personalized plan that anticipates your needs so that you can feel confident in your financial future.
We look at your current financial picture first; then we discuss your needs and goals; next we prepare a plan that fits the needs and goals we have outlined. Finally, we match investments to balance the plan that has been created. All of this is done while coordinating the other parts of your financial life (taxes, income plan, estate plan, etc.).
We serve many different types of clients, but our knowledge and investment strategies best serve individuals, families, and business owners with significant assets or who are currently in a high tax bracket.
We offer a detailed list of the services we provide in our new client packet. After your needs are determined, we will review these services to decide together which of them will best serve your needs.
Our initial consultation is free of charge. After that, we are paid in one of three ways: fee for advice (flat or hourly fee for advice), fee-based (a percentage of assets under management), or commission (compensation paid directly to us by the investments chosen). Our relationship may include only one of the above options or could potentially include all three, depending on the plan we create for you.
Jacob Young Financial is a very knowledgeable team of specialists. Chances are you will have the opportunity to work with each of us at some point in our partnership. Rest assured, that whomever you are working with, they will be the best for the task at hand.
